Scott Hagan is a visionary leader for the 21st century, intent on inspiring and leading others to embrace unity and minister to the needs of the community that can only be met by God. He is an articulate speaker, gifted author, and experience pastor communication a compassionate and compelling message for ministry. Scott’s personal mission is being a wonderful husband to his wife Karen and loving father to their 4 children, and his an avid sports enthusiast, especially when his sons are involved.
After 10 years of pastoring a church he pioneered in Elk Grove, California and seeing it from 250 to 1,700 and “mother” 7 other churches. Scott believes God called him to Michigan in 2001 to pastor Grand Rapids First Assembly. This congregation embraced his vision for the church to move forward as a life-giving, Spirit-filled, ethnically diverse, cell-driven church.
To this end, he helped members grow strong in five core values of Biblical community.

Relationships grew and walls were crumbling as God’s people enjoyed a fresh wave of His Spirit blowing through His Church.
In the early part of 2005, Scott and his wife Karen together felt the call of God on their lives to once again return to church planting. They are not the founding pastors of Mars Hill Church and continue to develop the John 17 Network, a ministry with the two-fold commitment to create unity between local churches and the planting of multi-ethnic churches across America and the world.
